Ethan & Justin Hard, along with their best friend Sparky, have formed Enigma Investigations to search out paranormal activity.
Case 1.
When their first potential…and adorable…client experiences missing time after a UFO sighting the Hard boys are all too eager to jump on his case. Will the Hard boys be able to solve what happened during his lapse of time?

I have to say I had a lot of fun reading this author. He has a fun and adventurous way of telling this story. This is the first installment of The Hard Boys.

In this wonderful Scooby Doo adventure, you start off meeting Justin and Ethan. They love being gay, and they love messing with their best straight friend, Sparky. Justin and Ethan have this wonderful chemistry among them, but they won’t let their emotions get involved. These characters bring so much to this book. There is humor, adventure, sexual lingo that was even new to me and hot sex.

These three characters started Enigma Investigations in the city of Mysteria. As Justin and Ethan finish a hot sex session, Sparky knocks on the door. Of course, they answer the door naked, and Sparky is fifty sheets of red. He tells them they have their first customer coming over. This is where we meet Brandon. Brandon claims to have been abducted by aliens. When Brandon shows up, Justin and Ethan are in instant lust. The thing is, Justin was straight before being abducted, and now he wants nothing more than to have these two men. The things Brandon can do since his abduction drives the two men mad. They didn’t even imagine the things being done to them.

Justin and Ethan go investigate where Brandon said he was abducted and hit a motorcycle. So they think. They are abducted along with the guy from the motorcycle. The things they witness this homophobic motorcyclist go through is so intense and hot at the same time. These aliens really know how to have a good time. Meanwhile, at home, Sparky is questioning the way he’s feeling towards Brandon. Sparky has always been straight, but he cannot deny his attraction to Brandon.

While this book is a fun and sexy read, it also carries a powerful message. The way this author carries this message through this story is amazing. I find it that in today’s time, we still have to worry about homophobes the way we still do. It shouldn’t take aliens coming to earth to teach everyone to let everyone love and live as they are. But, since we’re not there, as of yet, then enjoy this adventure.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves extremely naughty MM action, loves to laugh and wants to learn new sexual terms and descriptions. I can’t wait to read more of this author.

BLURB:

It’s summer in the city.

July 1977: New York is sweltering under a record-breaking heat wave. Tensions run high, crime is rampant, and the city seems to be falling apart.

For new arrival Richard Miller, it is both heaven and hell. He has a loving boyfriend, a budding career as a nude model, and a comfortable place in the city’s vibrant gay community. But he knows it is all being threatened by sinister forces that he has not been able to defeat. The cult that tried to seduce him into the occult world is still after him, and Richard’s visions of the seductive demons that want to possess his body become stronger by the day. They threaten to destroy his relationship, his health, and his sanity.

Will Richard give in and become a slave to his temptations, or can he resist the powers of darkness threatening not only himself but his entire community?

Find out in this steamy gay paranormal romance. Can you handle the heat?

jologooptimummThis is the solidly researched and cleverly written City of Sinners, Book Two, by Noah Harris, which is turning out to be a brave, dark, twisted, genre-busting series. Yes, it’s an M/M Romance, it’s also historical, erotic and paranormal, but more than that, it’s a complex occult offering, of the kind I would normally only expect to see from the likes of Stephen King. But this has so much more to offer and the resulting creative, but edgy feel is only a small part of its appeal.

Demon Heat is the continuation of Richard Miller’s roller coaster journey so, although not critical, if you haven’t read book one, Darkest Desires, I would recommend it. Set in 1977 in New York City, amidst the gay community, the depth of research Noah has undertaken, to get the ethos of the era is spot on and awesome. It feels right, incorporating a lot of historical accuracy and detail from that time. The characters, which were fully developed in book one, are expanded further in book two. Richard and Tyrone are still together though their relationship has issues, as does Richard’s career as a nude model. We revisit Steve and Adam, with Steve offering a bit of humor. We find out what happened to Paco after the Everard Bathhouse fire. We’re also introduced to Peter who, like Richard, is new to the city and struggling to find his feet. Cue some hot BDSM scenes. The Knowledge Demon makes a re-appearance as does Anton, head of the power hungry Cult. We are also introduced to a new demon, the Taurus Demon, who has a significant role to play. The occultists are still at large and intent on gaining power through the summoning of The Hooded One, the demon who needs to complete his possession of Richard in order to cross over to this world and so give them the power they crave.

As with book one, the story revolves around Richard’s relationships, his life in the gay community, and his fight against the occult. You’ll need an open mind to read this dark story as some scenes deal with mature themes, but if you’re Okay with the occult, erotic sex, and drug use, as an integral, but not gratuitous, part of a storyline, then you won’t be able to put this down. There are a complex set of interlinked plots which merge together, at significant points in the story, making this a very satisfying and exciting read from start to finish. There’s a lot going on but at no time is it confusing. Noah gives us enough information to understand the plot and yet keep us guessing at the outcome. The ending ties up a good many of the plot themes but, I warn you, not all. It’s a HFN and there’ll be another book in the series. What happens to the evil Anton and his cult? What of Richard’s relationship with Tyrone? I’m waiting with baited breath for book three and, though I’m not usually a fan of long series, this is one I’d love to see continue.

BLURB:

Bravery isn’t a matter of size, but one of the heart.

Math geek Asa Tibbs is no wilting flower, despite being a butterfly shifter with a reputation for fragility. When he learns his mate has been kidnapped, nothing will stop from rushing to his mate’s rescue. Least of all any objections by the Wildcat Hills Pride, whom he’s conveniently neglected to seek permission from.
Xander Powell, alpha of the Pride, is chagrined beyond belief. Not only has he been captured by a gang of deer shifters—an insult to his masculine pride alone—but he’s become the new main attraction of a rinky dink circus? And he can’t even shift to get out of his situation, not without alerting humankind to the existence of shifters among them. What’s a lion to do?
Help arrives on colorful wings when the big beautiful butterfly that is Asa tumbles into Xander’s cell. Together, the two men escape the circus. But their journey home is just the beginning of the honeymoon from hell…and what they discover along the way will shake the foundations of the paranormal world.

I liked A Flying Rescue by Liza Kay.

This is the first book in the series that I have read, and as such, I was a little lost until I got to know the characters and who had done what.

I think I would have enjoyed the book a lot more if I had read the other two in the series first. However, I did still greatly enjoy both Xander and Asa and all of their packmates and friends. The characters were nicely developed, and I liked how they interacted with each other. However, the books sound like they have a background plot that runs through the series even though the books are each about a separate couple. So I would recommend that you start at the beginning of the series before reading this book to get to know the characters and the circumstances that have made them the way they are. The ending of the book was left open for another book in the series, and I’m hoping that it will be about London and Donovan.

I loved how strong Asa is and how he doesn’t fit into the omega mold. I liked that he didn’t want to be thrust into being a permanent bottom just because he’s slim and smaller than Xander and I liked that Xander was secure enough in his alpha-ness that he would allow Asa to top also. I liked that Asa rescued his mate and that they had a rocky honeymoon while having to deal with corrupt council members and assassins trying to kill Xander and then later his pride.

I can’t wait to see what happens with the corrupt council as that seems to be the background plot that’s running through the series and since it wasn’t tied up in this book.

BLURB:

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Out of the Cage: A cage of the mind can manifest in unusual ways.

Viktor Minsky spent months recovering after having been captured and tortured for information about his friend. While he still bears the scars, he’s proud that no matter how they’d beaten and starved him, he’d never caved. After Viktor joins a group of vampires and shifters to free captured shifters, he’s charged with tracking down several of the vendors that deliver supplies to the facility. When Viktor stops at the ostrich farm that supplied the meat to the scientists, he meets the owner, Finn O’Riley. Not only is Viktor shocked to discover the man is a shifter, but the scent of Finn’s blood causes his mouth to water. He suspects the shifter is his beloved, the other half of his soul, but Finn’s response to his appearance bluntly proves that he wants nothing to do with him. Can Viktor learn if Finn’s hostility is caused because he’s in league with the scientists, or is it caused by something else entirely?

I really liked The Hated Finn by Charlie Richards.

This is the 39th book in the Wolves of Stone Ridge series, but it’s the first book that I’ve read. Aside from being bombarded by a ton of names and their positions during the first chapter which was kind of overwhelming since I didn’t know any of them, the author did a great job of filling in all of the blanks, so I wasn’t lost for long.

This book’s about Finn who’s an Ostrich shifter and Viktor who’s a vampire who has joined a group of vampires and shifters that are planning to raid the Crystal Lake Pharmaceuticals because they were doing illegal testing on the paranormal community and they wanted to free all of the captive shifters. Afterward, Viktor’s charged with checking their suppliers to find out if they had been helping Crystal Lake Pharmaceuticals. While investigating one of the meat suppliers, Viktor stumbles across Finn who might be his beloved. However, Finn has a deep fear of vampires and wolves. I loved how persistent Viktor was in pursuing Finn when he realized that Finn might be his beloved.
I did like how Finn rationalized being an Ostrich shifter that likes to eat Ostrich meat and how it wasn’t cannibalization because he’s just a shifter whose animal to call is an Ostrich. It makes me chuckle just thinking about it.

The hated Finn was well written. It had a great plot and was nicely edited, and it had plenty of steamy hot scenes to go with it. Definitely my kind of story.

Review: “From Ferret with Love” by Astrid Cooper

BLURB:

Love will find a way. Star-crossed mates, torn apart by enemies, find that the cost of love may be too high.

Fabian, a ferret-shifter with wolven blood, takes a walk on the wild side and is rescued by Ashley, a cop who would rather go home alone to his cat, than play nursemaid to a runaway. Soul-mate recognition intervenes. When Fabian’s alpha, together with the pack enforcer, arrive to drag Fabian home, a deadly battle ensues – one that leaves Fabian soul-wounded and Ashley destroyed.
Three years later, Fabian Ferret, private investigator for the blood-kin, is summoned to Monsters inK to work a cold case.
Left for dead by unknown assailants, Ashley has slowly recovered, but has no memory of the events leading up to his bashing. He has found a new life as a member of Monsters inK.
When Fabian and Ash are re-united, Ashley doesn’t remember his mate, and Fabian knows that to reveal the truth will set Ash free, but damn Fabian and their love forever. Ash decides that the little shifter is too much trouble, but Fabe has ingenious ways to ferret out the truth. So begins a teasing and dangerous game of seduction – one that may see them united or divided by love.

I loved From Ferret with Love by Astrid Cooper.

The way the author writes has a way of sucking you in and refusing to let you go.

I got invested in Fabian (a ferret shifter) and Ashley (a human cop) first when Ashley saved Fabian from a gay bashing in the park and later when Ashley helped Fabian heal, and Fabian revealed that Ashley was his One and they soul-mated and were perfectly happy for that one night. Only to be ripped apart when Fabian’s Alpha and his enforcer showed up to take him home the next morning.

I became even more invested in the couple when Fabian showed up three years later to help Sebastian (a member of Monsters inK) with a cold case only to find that the case involves his mate that he thought had died that night three years ago. Now it’s up to Fabian to help Ashley with his memory loss so that he can be whole again and so that he doesn’t have migraines anymore. But Ashley doesn’t want Fabian’s help, and so Fabian will have to use all of his Ferret abilities to ferret his way back into his mate’s heart.

From Ferret with Love has a developed storyline and lovable characters and sub characters. I will definitely be reading this book again. After reading this book, I can’t wait to buy the other eight books in the series to read about the other characters that I met in this book.

I can’t wait to see if their stories are as good as this one was.

Review: “Apprentice Saga” by Sadie Sins

TITLE: Apprentice Saga
AUTHOR: Sadie Sins
SERIES: Demon Bonded
PUBLISHER: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform
COVER ARTIST: Sadie Sins
GENRE: Romance; Paranormal; BDSM
E-BOOK: Yes
PAPERBACK: No
LENGTH: 186 pages
RELEASE DATE: March 1, 2016
PRICE: $4.99 -e-book

BLURB:

This volume contains episodes 5-9 of Demon Bonded, as well as the bonus episode ‘The Forging Of An Apprentice,’ written by Sadie Sins and previously published 2016. Apprentice Saga is the second saga in the mm erotic world of Demon Bonded. This serial is a fun play on monster collecting and male harems. Expect demon bonding, master/slave relationships of mild and abusive nature, multiple partners, magical powers, learning how to be a sorcerer, and conflict with crueler demon masters.

Ky’s recovery from the overseer Demencious is short lived. His parents have lost all trust in him, and Ky again has to wonder if he’s losing his mind. That is until he starts his first art class at his new college, and meets an actual sorcerer apprentice.

Liem Kane could have been a typical teenager, but there is something terribly wrong beneath his well-groomed exterior. His demon, Fido, is twisted and abused, the wolf Relic tormented daily by his young master.

In his quest to save Fido from certain death, Ky must face Liem’s master. A demon trainer of cruelty that far surpasses his young pupil, Tobias has no qualms in murdering those that disobey. Ky faces off against this monster among men. It’s kill or be killed, and Ky isn’t sure he can live with either option.

18+ This book contains explicit m/m sexual content, shifter demon anatomy that knots and ties, graphic language, violence, and themes of bondage. 68,000+ words

This book follows Demencious Saga with episodes #5-9. This is one of those series that builds quickly. We are back with Ky as he stumbles along trying to protect those who want to either control or destroy the relics. Each episode he learns more.

Episode five picks up right where the previous one ended. Here while the human bonds get colder, the demon bonds get stronger. Ky is beginning to see who he is and what’s important. The responsibility he feels for the demons in his care. He’s also finding out what he gained in the bonding process as well. This has all been new to him and he’s had to learn not only from Lovely and Feral but from each new experience is adding to it too. He’s also teaching the demons about him. How truly caring and concerned he is for them.

Episode six is where most of the groundwork for the rest of the book is laid. This is where the chain of events start to connect Ky’s magical life at home to those that are around him. We meet Lien, who’s instrumental in getting Ky to have a further purpose and concern. Seeing how he’s different from other sorcerers. What he sees as his weaknesses and where he lacks knowledge.

When you get to episode seven, then you see the changes that Ky starts to go through. Because of his trusting nature, just how vulnerable those he cares for are. He’s chosen his true family and fights not only for their physical safety but their mental well-being as well. He sees that he needs to learn more for their protection. He takes the demons’ pain to heart and hurts for them. Never thinking of himself but instead how he can save and protect the relics. While those he holds dearest think of his safety and mental well-being.

Everything comes together in episodes eight and nine. Showdowns not only with outside forces but at home as well. A lot of things are learned, and the stage for the next saga is set. By the time I got to the end, I was eager for more. Sadie Sins has created a world of magic and morals, love and sacrifice. A place where the worst monsters are human and the demons more like knights.

BLURB:

When Arron Carmichael and Ramsey Roland broke up it devastated both of them, but Ramsey couldn’t handle Arron’s family secret. When the family business brings them together, they discover Ramsey has a secret larger than any Arron thought possible.

Arron is part of the Gardener family, a group of witches who have protected the world from daemons for thousands of years. Ramsey couldn’t deal with the magic that was an intricate part of Arron’s life, so he told Arron they were finished, and he needed to leave. His decision left two hearts broken.

When Ramsey is mugged while going to a bar to hang out with friends, it opens him up to the world Arron had hinted at, but it also brings Arron back into his life. Arron does his best to save Ramsey from the dark forces that are hunting them both. When they learn the reason Ramsey is being hunted, it shocks them both to their cores but brings them closer together. Only together can they hope to defeat the forces working against them.

O One of the things I love about reading is how an author can put their own spin on a familiar theme. A.J. Marcus did just that. I especially liked how he described daemons and where they came from. This brought it completely away from the usual Heaven and Hell concept and gave it a more scientific approach.
Aaron is a witch from a family of witches. His family have been daemon hunters for generations. Not only have they been protecting humans but also, they help keep the existence of daemons hidden.

Ramsey is in real estate. He lives a rather boring ordinary life. The only time he’s dealt with any of the so-called paranormal was when he was dating Aaron. Once Aaron told him he was a witch and what his family did, Ramsey got scared. He broke up with Aaron and went back to his plain boring life.

Five years later brings Aaron back into his life. His life and the world around him will never be the same. Not only does he find out about the real existence of daemons, but he learns something new about himself. They realize that neither has gotten over the other. The threat is still there and follows them. The two must overcome the dangers so they can be together. Both of them have no clue of the big surprise to come.

I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the rest of the series. The only thing that I was not fond of was the ending. It went away from how the rest of the book flowed by being rather quick. Some key moments were mentioned briefly rather than the walk through the rest of the book delivers.

levilogooptimummWhat the hell did I just read?!

Well, this is the weirdest book I have ever read. So why the high rating?! Because it was freaking amazing!

Did you ever a read a book you hated and the same time you loved it? No? Well neither did I until this…this…I don’t know.

For the first 30 % of the story, I was wondering if this book is reason enough to smash my e-book to the wall to buy myself a new one. Well, I’m glad now I was against my “brilliant” idea!

This book is a multimillion POV book. Every character of this book will say it’s part of the…story? Well, the plot is not so clear till the second half of the book. I was going back several times to see if this is the book of what we request to review because there was no MM in it at all. But then things changed and we’ll find out what the author meant by MM. Damn, she is good!

Well, the book has four major MC, which we’ll get to know pretty much but also with a lot of secrets or hidden agenda. This is not your usual romance novel. I wasn’t sure it was romance at all, just after I read more than half of the book.

The constant change of POV will keep you on edge, and not in a good way. A million things will go through your head to figure it out WTH (what the hell) it’s really going on?!
But the book is great! It’s angsty and hot!!! And by hot I mean steamy hot! It’s borderline Dub-Con and BDSM. But it’s kinda not…? You would think Desmond is a prick, but he is really really not. Anyway, if Jeremy would have a Facebook account at “in relationship” section you would find: “Complicated”. And oh man this time Facebook would be so right!!

So it’s an honest 4.5 Star I enjoyed reading this book!!!

P.(T) S.(D)
This is the 1st of the series. Well…read it or not read it the next in the series? that is the question! (But as I know myself, trust me it’s a yes).

BLURB:

Since the Mayflower brought the first five Cubi to America, the race has looked forward to this day. But an overlooked historical detail can bring everything they have worked toward to an end.

Daniel is settling in and trying to find a rhythm after the latest change in his life. With the help of Seldon, Caledon, and the Grand Lady Geodin, Daniel begins his education and development to rise as a full-fledged Incubus.

Seldon is not a man who rattles easily, but the latest changes to his life after the Cubi Court Order has sent the old Incubus out in uncharted territory. Falling madly in love with a human raised boy does not help uncomplicate things—especially when that boy is not yet versed enough in the Cubi ways to not mistake feeding for love or love for feeding.

Are you ready to continue Daniel’s journey in the world of Cubi?
So now, after Seldon got his punishment and Daniel’s true nature it’s revealed, things are getting a little to official for Daniel’s liking.
His education as Incubi continues with the help of both Caledon and Seldon. But his human side, how he sees the world around him, is still there.

This series being an erotic read, there is not so much to say without spoiling the story for you dear reader, but I will try my best.

The dosing of both Daniel and Seldon is provided by Caledon (mainly). These three are getting closer and closer, but Daniel still can’t see the difference between lovemaking and feeding without being dosed. For him having sex without a dose it’s considered lovemaking. That leads to a very interesting situation between the three.

We will find out in this sequel that every monarch is to bring new powers to his/her people. The same is happening with Daniel too. He empowers his Cubi, both Incubi and Succubi with his power. What is his power? Aren’t you a curious little thing…? Read the book luv. How the actual empowering takes place, I leave it to your dirty/not so dirty imagination…

Remember from the first book, the slave who almost killed a red-eye? Him having a protein what’s dangerous to Incubi and Succubi? Well, we will learn about that too, and the development of that situation brings us to the next chapter of the Cubi world.

The book, as we’re used too by now, gave us a hot read! I’m anxiously waiting for the next book to see how things will go for Daniel, Seldon and Caledon.

P.S.
Well, the next sequel will have a new character called Levidon. You may think it’s coincidence, but it’s not. So let me have my moment of fame to announce you that I will be, as Levidon, in Meraki’s next book *winkwink #hashtagtime #braggingmuch #mebeingamuse

Tannerian Wulfric is a leader—a strong alpha who bows to no-one, especially those who try to undermine his authority.

When an opportunity arises, he grabs it with both hands and lets nothing get in his way. Trouble is, his brother has been caught in the crossfire of glorious retribution, and Tanner is in need of assistance.

For many years, Alex Jonas has lived his life in peace. But when fate lands him in the hands of his ex-lover and alpha, he finds himself in the centre of a feud he never knew existed, and must immerse himself in ways he had never imagined. One chance encounter, one night, and everything comes crashing down around him. Alex must fight for his life while Tanner fights for one thing and one thing only—vengeance, which has never tasted sweeter.

Can Tanner avenge his family’s death without spilling more blood? Or will his inner demon tear apart everything he has worked for, and lose the man who owns his heart?

Warning: Contains strong language, violence, and graphic, erotic scenes which require a shower to cool yourself down. This is NOT a romance. It’s hot, it’s sticky, and all kinds of messed up. Proceed with caution!

This is the first MM novel from the author. And warning! We need to keep a look out for this author! She is brilliant, amazing and dark!

When you start reading this book, you find yourself in the middle of the plot. You may think that you need a previous book to catch up with the characters, but that’s not the case.
Katze has a unique style to bring the past into the present without any effort on the reader’s side. And now let me introduce to this book, who’s sequel I’m already waiting impatiently for.

Tannerian Wulfric, but let’s call him Tanner is a fierce alpha. He wasn’t always this cruel, calculating, manipulative jerk. But when his family is killed, except his twin brother Tobias, things change. He should be dead, him and Tobias too, but the killer of his family has another idea to torment Tanner. What, you may ask? Well, you need to read the book to get that question answered.
He’s plotting now for more than two hundred years to revenge his family. This quest alienates his brother and pretty much everybody from him. He goes through lovers like a warm knife through butter, well except Alex.

Alex meets Tanner when he’s in the lowest in his life. And of course, Tanner takes advantage of that. Alec becomes his new pet, and he trains him and controls him as he pleases. Now, after eleven year, him meeting the Alpha, and ten years out of his control, Tanner has a mission for him. Alex can’t deny the feeling which he still nourishes for him. Even though he has a smartass and cocky attitude, Tanner’s piercing look still has an effect on him.

The story happens in a world where shifters are divided into two groups. One who is in servitude of mankind and one who thinks that they are superior to humans and they should be not the servant. Well, as you guessed Tanner is the leader of the latter.

I would like to congratulate Katze on this amazing work!
